A viral passenger of Ibom Air, Comfort Emmanson, has shared her account of a confrontation with a flight attendant that has continued to generate reactions after a viral video showed her being restrained and dragged out of an aircraft.
Emmanson, who recounted the events in a video on Sunday, said the incident began on August 10, 2025, when she boarded a flight from Uyo to Lagos.
According to her, the clash started after a disagreement with a hostess, identified as Juliana, over switching off her mobile phones before take-off.
She explained that while one phone was switched off with the help of a fellow passenger, she struggled with the second, which was faulty.
She alleged that the hostess became hostile and later stopped her from leaving the plane on arrival in Lagos. Emmanson claimed she began recording the encounter but was assaulted after the attendant noticed.
Emmanson said her clothes and belongings were torn during the scuffle, leaving her partially exposed while other staff recorded her.
She further stated that she was verbally abused, called a prostitute, and left traumatised by the public circulation of the videos.
She maintained that the incident has damaged her reputation and livelihood, stressing that she now feels ashamed to interact with clients in her real estate business.
She partly said, “Going out of the aircraft, this lady Juliana stopped me.
I asked her, Why did you stop me?
Why are you stopping me from going out of the aircraft?
Everybody had left, so I needed to go out.
She didn’t say anything to me; she was just staring at me with the same bad eye.
That was when I remembered that this was the same person instructing me to put off my phone.
That was when I started recording and then she backed the person facing me and I told her to let me pass but she didn’t answer me, she ignored me.
“When she noticed I was making a video, she now pulled me back inside the aircraft and dragged my frontal, dragged my gold from my neck, my clothes, and my phones.
The phone broke.
The pain of doing that to me was when I went to poke her.”
This comes a day after she threatened to drag the federal government, aviation regulators, and other parties involved in the incident to court.
