Former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, has been granted bail of N300 million by the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Maitama.
Justice Hamza Muazu, presiding over the case, stipulated that Emefiele must produce two sureties with landed property in the Maitama District of the FCT.
Emefiele, who was not present during the recent proceedings and was previously remanded at Kuje Prison, had secured an earlier order for release in a human rights suit against the federal government.
The trial is set to commence on November 28, with the next hearing scheduled for that date.
