Tragedy struck in Masaka, Nasarawa State, as 38-year-old Gabriel Iliya Magaji was found dead in a classroom at Crystal School, where his body was discovered hanging on Monday morning.
According to the Nasarawa State Police, Magaji’s death is believed to be a result of suicide, prompted by the alleged infidelity of his wife, who was said to have been engaging in extramarital affairs with his friends in exchange for money.
DSP Nansel Ramhan, the police spokesperson, confirmed the incident and stated that investigations are underway, despite no suicide note being found.
A source close to the family revealed that Magaji had confronted his wife about the allegations, which she reportedly admitted to, claiming the money was used to support their family, including their three children.
The incident has left the community in shock, and the police are working to uncover the full circumstances surrounding Magaji’s tragic death.
