Renowned Nigerian singer Jaywon has honored the memory of legendary musician Sound Sultan with a heartfelt visit to his graveside.
On social media, Jaywon shared touching photos from the graveside visit, celebrating Sound Sultan’s enduring legacy and impact on the music industry.
“At the resting place of a mentor, where wisdom, guidance, and inspiration now lay in eternal peace.
Gone, but forever a part of us.
Keep resting, @soundsultan, forever,” Jaywon wrote.
Recall that Sound Sultan passed away in 2021 at 44 after battling Angioimmunoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma.
The late singer’s remarkable career spanned over two decades, beginning with his breakout single Jagbajantis in the early 2000s.
Also, he went on to release seven albums, four of which were under Kennis Music, solidifying his position as a leading figure in Nigerian music.
Beyond music, Sound Sultan showcased his versatility as a producer and actor in films like Head Gone (2014) and stage musicals like Jungle Story (2018).
Additionally, Sound Sultan is survived by his wife and three children.
Lastly, Jaywon’s tribute serves as proof of Sound Sultan’s lasting influence on the music industry and the countless lives he touched.
