The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Adewale Adeniyi, has announced the commencement of the sale of seized food items to address hunger-related challenges across Nigeria.
Adeniyi disclosed this during a sectoral debate in the House of Representatives, where the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, was also present.
He mentioned that President Bola Tinubu ordered the sale of food items produced in Nigeria and seized at the country’s land borders directly to vulnerable Nigerians.
The initiative aims to alleviate the issue of hunger in the nation.
