Actor Lege Miami is once again making headlines, this time for calling out Pastor Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
Taking to his verified Instagram page, Lege Miami expressed concern over the inability of some members of Pastor Adeboye’s church to afford the school fees of the church’s university.
The actor highlighted that the RCCG has a private university called Redeemers University, and many children of church members attending the university struggle to pay their school fees.
Describing himself as an “Advocate for youth,” Lege Miami shared the story of a church member who approached him for assistance with school fees payment.
Addressing the issue of increased school fees, Lege Miami urged Pastor Adeboye and other Nigerian pastors with private universities to utilize the tithes paid by parents to maintain the schools.
He emphasized that this approach would alleviate the financial burden on students who cannot afford the fees.
Furthermore, he suggested that Pastor Adeboye should cease paying salaries to staff working in the church and instead encourage voluntary service.
If they cannot volunteer, he believes they should seek employment elsewhere.
In his statement, Lege Miami conveyed his message directly to Pastor Adeboye, expressing concern for church members’ financial struggles amid rising education costs.
