President Bola Tinubu is set to join other leaders in Bissau, Guinea-Bissau, for the country’s 50th Independence Anniversary and Armed Forces Day celebration.
Tinubu’s media aide confirmed his scheduled arrival in Bissau on Thursday for the ceremony, hosted by President Umaro Sissoco Embalo.
Guinea-Bissau marked its 50th Independence Anniversary in September but planned celebrations for November 16, 2023.
Following the event, Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria on the same day.
His participation follows his recent attendance at the Saudi-Africa summit, where he sought to attract investors to Nigeria.
