The Gombe State Police Command has nabbed a 23-year-old man named Adamu Maikudi for stealing 23 cows from Golombi village in the Shongom Local Government Area.
Maikudi, who hails from Mai Rana village in Billiri Local Government Area, was caught by the police, while two other accomplices are still on the run.
According to Assistant Superintendent of Police Mahid Muazu Abubakar, the Public Relations Officer of the state police command, Maikudi sold the 23 cows that belonged to Anchau Maishanu.
Maishanu reported the theft at the Pero Chonge Divisional Police headquarters, stating that Maikudi and two others conspired to steal his cows from Golombi village and then sold them.
Following Maishanu’s report, an investigation was launched, leading to Maikudi’s arrest and the recovery of all the stolen cows.
